simpleprot is a searchable, evidence-based repository of dental clinical protocols — “what’s the protocol for X?”, answered in seconds with sourced steps, material alternatives, and clinical pearls.
What it is — and isn’t
It is a general professional reference for qualified dental professionals, presenting general protocols as information. It is not a medical device: it takes no patient data and gives no patient-specific recommendations.
Evidence
Protocols are drafted from peer-reviewed evidence — systematic reviews and trials from trusted databases such as PubMed and the Cochrane Library — and reviewed by a clinician before publication. Each card lists its sources, and the “gold standard” line names the evidence benchmark. The gold standard is the evidence-proven default; where acceptable alternatives or technique choices exist, the card shows those too — so you can adapt to what you have in hand without losing sight of the benchmark.
