Mandatory for crowns. A retentive prep aids retention and the bond but never replaces the protocol; surface pretreatment is essential. No hydrofluoric acid on zirconia.
Air-abrasion + an MDP resin cement (Panavia SA / RelyX Unicem the benchmarks). Never hydrofluoric acid on zirconia.
▢Isolation — rubber dam or cotton rolls + saliva ejector / high-volume suction
▢Chairside air-abrasion unit (50 µm Al₂O₃) + tips
